Fearless Watercolor for Beginners

Learn the basics of watercolor painting and discover that watercolor painting can be easy and fun. Designed for the teen or adult student who is new to watercolor painting or who needs a refresher class. The instructor will cover proper tools and supplies, color mixing, and a variety of painting techniques.

Minimum of 2 students and maximum of 8 students. Age 14 and older.

The class includes basic techniques for beginners, elements & principles of design for experienced painters, and experimenting with different painting surfaces such as Yupo paper, watercolor canvas, and hot-pressed watercolor paper to facilitate loose painting. Experienced painters should bring samples of their work to determine what is needed to improve. Also bring some reference photos or a still-life setup for a painting subject.

Enjoy a “ladies afternoon out” at a fun painting party with your friends or meet new friends. Paint a beautiful seasonal subject that you will be proud to take home. Don’t worry, no painting or drawing experience required! Your instructor, Joyce Clair, will lead you step-by-step as we create the same painting together. All painting supplies are included in the class fee as well as a mat for framing your “party painting”. A glass of wine or soft drink will be served with light snacks. Party size is limited to a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 ladies. Reserve your seat now or you will miss the fun!​

Class Cancellation & Refund

Supply/Clay fees are non-refundable.

A full refund of class/workshop fees will be made if HAHC cancels the scheduled class or workshop.
Cancellations by the participant must be received at least 2 days prior to the date of the class or workshop in order to receive a full refund of the class fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 2 days prior to the date of the class.

Refunds will be made by check and will be mailed to the participant at the address provided during registration for the class/workshop.
