Serving the Arts & Artists - Preserving Our Heritage

The newly renovated "painter's loft" is now a busy place on Thursday's as well as other days when artists get that uncontrollable urge to paint. Painting day at the arts center has been typically scheduled on Thursday afternoon. This was the time the painters gathered in the classroom area at the center and sometimes faced other activities going on in the same room. It soon began to be a space issue. Founding member, Gayle Murdock, went on a mission, a quest to find a place for the painters. After months of seeking outside venues, she found the perfect spot, in the place she started her quest. The unused loft above the pottery studio was the chosen place. Gayle and a handful of other painters worked hard to get things in order and now the painting continues!
